The popularity of JavaScript has been incredible. It is the best scripting language which facilitates designing of exciting interfaces; enhance web application development (with robust features and functions) and employ elements in real time.

There are a variety of frameworks and updates releasing every day that sometimes it might become tough to keep up with the developments. It gets difficult to decide which one may be right for your project. There are various types of JS Frameworks which are as follows.

  1. Angular.JS

AngularJS is an open source that transfers all the contents from the server to the browser along with loading all the web pages simultaneously. Freshly coded in 2018, this framework comes with a full-featured framework that provides defaults for development language, build toolchain, state management and data fetching. Angular makes it easy to work with dynamic rendering with its JSON based processing and rendering capabilities. Any developer with a background in the essential front-end technologies like HTML5 & Javascript can learn Angular JS quite easily.

2. React.JS

React.js is mostly preferred when a high performing enterprise application needs to be delivered to its users. It is powered by user interfaces like Instagram and Facebook. Be it its ability to perform well in SEO (surprisingly being part of JS family), Simpler JSX, Virtual DOM or powerful JavaScript library, ReactJS is a developer’s choice to build dynamic & high traffic web applications.

3. Ember.Js

While Angular and React are flexible and less preferred, Ember makes a lot of assumptions about the application and makes a developer confirm to its expectations. Ember is a more preferred framework, funneling developers into best practices for the platform. With Ember, you get URLs and a default working back button with every route created by you, and its API is easy to use.

4. Meteor.Js

Meteor integrates with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Express and Angular. It also integrates with MongoDB and Cordova technology to build hybrid applications using HTML, CSS, and JS which run on Web View. Meteor is a full-stack framework, which allows developers to learn a single tool, and use it for almost everything in their application. It also makes it an exciting hypothesis for new developers who are aiming at full-stack positions or projects, as they can get productive faster with Meteor.

5. Vue.JS

It is a lightweight JS framework which gets a lot of its concepts from ReactJS and AngularJS. The most momentous advantage of choosing Vue over React is that in Vue, the component’s dependencies are tracked automatically during its rendering. Thus, the system recognize which component needs to be re-rendered when a state changes. Vue uses HTML-based templating syntax, allowing developers to write components quickly and easily. Of all the frameworks present in this list, Vue.js is one of the easiest to learn because of its fierce simplicity. This fact has heavily contributed to its popularity.

6. Backbone.JS

It offers MVP network, which abstracts the data into models, Document Object Model (DOM) into views and combines these two by events. Unlike other frameworks of JavaScript, Backbone puts the developer in charge of choosing the right tool that works best for a given project. A templating engine of its own does not reside in Backbone. It does not force templating engine, leaving that up to the individual developer. However, it have Underscore as a dependency, allowing that to be the easiest default choice for templating.

7. Mithril.JS

Mithril gives you hierarchical MVC components and safe-by-default templates with an intelligent DOM difference checking for high-performance rendering just like React.JS. Mithril is currently being used by famous companies like Nike and Fitbit and other open source platforms like Lichess. Mithril makes use of sophisticated and optimized virtual DOM algorithm to reduce the amount of DOM updates. Mithril has a great set of guides and docs to get started, and they estimate that a developer can get through the quickstart in nearly ten minutes.

8. Polymer.JS

Polymer.JS is yet another open-source JavaScript library for building web applications using Web components. Polymer.JS library is developed by Google developers and has contributors on GitHub. Polymer works well with Progressive Web Apps, which is an increasingly significant focus for developers as they sharpen in on connecting the mobile experience with that of the desktop user. Polymer consists of web components that are part of the HTML standard which promises longer existence than ReactJS. Hence, there is a least chance for Polymer to get replaced in future by another framework.
